Txt2Cart is a B2B workplace tool, not a public consumer service. There is no public advertising or self-serve signup. A phone number is added to Txt2Cart only when a named group organizer enters a specific, known coworker's number to invite them to a group food order. Separately, someone already informed of a group order through another channel (told verbally or otherwise) may text START to self-serve confirm; this is a secondary confirmation path for someone already informed of the order, not a public opt-in advertised anywhere.
When you use Txt2Cart, we collect your phone number (or Slack/Teams user ID), the text messages you send to place or confirm a group food order, the vendor/menu selection made by your group organizer, and message delivery timestamps.
We use this information solely to operate the group ordering service: to parse and confirm your order, to build a consolidated order summary for your group organizer, and to provide customer support.
Message frequency varies based on your order activity, typically a handful of messages per group order. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell or share your phone number, name, or the text of your messages with any third party for any purpose. Every message is transactional, about one specific food order initiated by a named coworker, exchanged only between people with an existing workplace relationship -- this is not third-party marketing. Limited processing is performed by our infrastructure providers, Twilio for message delivery and Anthropic for AI-assisted order parsing, solely to deliver this service.
We may compile de-identified, aggregate statistics about overall ordering activity across all users (for example, how popular a menu item is across a given week) for use in vendor and business analytics products. These aggregate statistics are built so that they cannot reasonably be linked back to you, and never include your phone number, name, or message content.
Order and message data is retained beyond the end of your group order so we can provide customer support, investigate issues, and compile the de-identified aggregate analytics described above. We do not use it to build a profile of you individually.
